How much does the program cost ?
A typical energy audit can run about $250.00 to $500.00 depending on the square footage of the home and amount zones

Can I use my own contractor to do the work if I chose to move forward after my audit ?
Yes, as long as your Contractor has the proper
licensing requirements and is participating in the PG&E Upgrade program

How does PG&E determine the rebate ?
Building information is obtained during the initial audit
and this information is entered into a software program called Energypro.
Percentages are determined by the building information and types of retrofits
that are suggested. The software calculates percentages that equate into
rebates. 15%=$1500 20%=$2000 25%=$2500 30%=$3000 35%=$3500 40%=$4000
4.
How many test are required by PG&E in order to receive my rebate
Two test are required to participate in the program. A Test in and a Test out to measures changes that have happened as a result of the retrofits.

What types of retrofits do PG&E give rebates for ?
Insulation, Air-sealing, Duct Sealing, Duct Wrapping, HVAC systems, Water Heaters, Windows

How Long is this program going to last ?
Until the end of 2012 and they are making plans at this very moment to secure new funding for 2013
